Motorola is taking yet another shot at reviving the Razr brand's glory with the Droid Razr, a new Android smartphone headed to the Verizon network. However, will its thinness be enough to differentiate it from other top-model Android phones out there? "They've all got dual-core processors, WiFi hotspot functionality and a wide display," said ABI's Michael Morgan.
Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI) on Tuesday announced its latest smartphone, confirming many of the rumors and spec leaks that had already begun to surround the handset.
It's called the "Droid Razr," its body is partially made of Kevlar, it has a 4.3-inch Gorilla Glass display, it's a 4G LTE device, and it's headed to the Verizon Wireless Network.

iOS 5: Excellent, Awesome and Somewhat Confusing
Gadget , Review 0
by:Prayag Verma
Apple claims there are something like 200 new feature in iOS 5, so it'll probably be a long time before most users happen to find all or even most of them. The biggest standouts, though, include improvements to the Camera app, a new Notifications Center, and of course, iCloud. That last one is one of the biggest things to hit iOS for a while, and for now it's still a little tricky to figure out.
After learning that it would cost me US$449 to upgrade from my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 4S, I pushed the pause button on those plans and decided to see how iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 shakes out first. After all, it's not as if I don't appreciate my iPhone 4. It's a great phone, quite serviceable, and now, with iOS 5, it's better than it was just a few days ago.
Where do I start? Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) boasts 200 new features in iOS 5, and for sure, I haven't found or noticed more than a fraction of them. Sure, some of them, like Siri, the new intelligent assistant app that listens to voice commands and then implements them, belong only to the iPhone 4S and the wicked-fast hardware packed inside. Other features have to do with iCloud integration, which in fact seems to be mostly what iOS 5 is all about -- providing users with easy access to files and communications services from the sky.

Apen A4 Digital Pen for iOS
Creative 0
by:Prayag Verma
Digital pens that can capture your strokes and transfer them to a computer are nothing new. They’re great if you want to instantly takes your notes from the morning’s meeting and distribute them to the team. But how many of them are designed to work directly with the iPad? None of them, at least to our knowledge…until now.
E FUN today introduced the APEN A4. It works just like your typical digital pen and included is a 30-pin USB connector allowing you to transcribe your notes instantly to your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Alternatively, the receiver can store up to 100 pages of data and be uploaded to a computer or iOS device at a later time. E FUN says that the APEN A4 works like a standard ink pen, which means you can write as you would normally, though when the battery runs dry (8 hours) it will just be, well, just a standard pen.

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas introduced several innovative gadgets, among them a 7 and 1/2 foot TV, a watch/GPS, and a 3D video camcorder.
The recent 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas brought out a slew of new gadgets, many of them smaller and sleeker thanks in part to improvements in semiconductor technology. The exception to this trend was TV; bigger was the main selling point for Mitsubishi's 92 inch 3D TV, for example. Some gadgets were also advertised on the basis of price: Vizio showed off a small 3D TV that was listed at under $300. Here is a sampling of 7 innovative tech gadgets that were found at the 2011 CES:
1.Sony HDR-TD10
(MSRP $1,500): The HDR-TD10 is a handheld 3D camcorder that allows one to shoot video in 3D and then display it on a high-definition 3D TV (special glasses are also required). If no 3D TV is available, the video footage can also be fed to a high-definition 2D TV. The camcorder contains two lenses, two image processors, and two image sensors in order to shoot and record two different sets of video footage.

iPad And Android Home Automation | How It Can Be Done

by:Prayag Verma
Since getting your iPad or Android tablet have you wondered if there was a way to use it for home automation? As it turns out, and thanks to a very valued reader, I learned that you can use your iPad to do this very thing. And it’s remarkable.
iPad And Android Home Automation
ipad home automation
It nearly sounds like something out of the future but these days technology is moving far faster than we ever dreamed of and quite frankly, it’s a great time to be alive and seeing it all take place. One of the things I have wondered about since the iPad was announced was home automation.
I wondered if it would ever be possible to shut off your lights or lower your heat just using the tablet. Now, the iPad or an Android tablet cannot do this alone as there really would be no way (yet) but there are some amazing systems you can actually begin to employ and the iPad will work right a long with them. And it’s pretty remarkable.

Speed, Speech and Signal: The New iPhone's New Tricks

iPhone users who opt to upgrade to the newly announced 4S model will see plenty of improvements, not the least of which is Siri, Apple's new voice-controlled personal assistant system. The phone also packs a better processor, new wireless capabilities and an improved camera. However, all this may not be enough for some users to want to take the leap.
Buyers of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) new iPhone 4S will be able to do more with the latest version of the smartphone, and they'll be able to do it faster.
The new iPhone, which will be available in black or white models when it ships on Oct. 14, has a new, peppy A5 dual core-processor that provides twice the performance of its predecessor in the iPhone 4 and seven times the graphics muscle.
While a 2x bump in performance is nothing to ignore, it may not be big enough for many users to notice. The 7x increase in graphics, though, is an improvement that should be apparent to all users, but especially those who favor apps that push the phone's graphics chops.

Apple co-founder and Chairman Steve Jobs died today, Apple said. He was 56.
He leaves a tremendous change in the technology world.
he will always be remembered for lovers of technology, especially Apple's gadgets.
"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives," Apple said in a statement. "The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."
Jobs had been suffering from various health issues following the seventh anniversary of his surgery for a rare form of pancreatic cancer in August 2004. Apple announced in January that he would be taking an indeterminate medical leave of absence, with Jobs then stepping down from his role as CEO in lateAugust.
Jobs had undergone a liver transplant in April 2009 during an earlier planned six-month leave of absence. He returned to work for a year and a half before his health forced him to take more time off. He told his employees in August, "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come."
